Sharon's tangible results

• Developed and implemented communications plan for, what was at that time, the largest privatization of a government owned corporation in Canadian history - Nova Scotia Power Inc.  Lead a team of agency and NS Power staff in implementing an integrated marketing communications program, including an investment-broker road show across Canada.

• Directed development and implementation of multi-media campaign for Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. credited, in part, for defeating an aggressive union drive by the Canadian Auto Workers.

• Played a leadership role in business development, employee development and improved profitability and service initiatives within full service marketing communications agency.

• Led creative strategy development, art direction and supplier coordination for multi-media advertising and ‘branding’ campaigns as well as new business development and recruitment collaterals for numerous organizations.

• Provided Executive Media Training to over forty client groups representing senior management in diverse sectors. 

• Served, as a consultant, on the senior management team for a succession of healthcare authorities throughout seven years of organizational transition. 

• Served as Trustee for the Camp Hill Medical Centre Foundation Board of Directors.  The Camp Hill Medical Centre is now part of Capital Health’s Queen Elizabeth Health Sciences Centre in Halifax.

• Retained by Interior Health Authority to provide communication counsel and support services since its inception in December 2001 and since that time, have produced award winning campaigns for both communications and human resource departments.

• Guest lectureships at various universities in Canada, for the International Association of Business Communicators National Conference, the Canadian Public Relations Society National Conferences, the Canadian Council on the Advancement of Education and the Canadian Poultry Council (on crisis management within the Agri-food Industry)
